Ce premier mai, lundi ensoleillé sur Saint-Denis de La Réunion. 2000 personnes environ défilent du Jardin de l’Etat au Barachois, entre 10 h et midi, sous le soleil généreux de ce début de saison sèche. Manifestation dont les mots d’ordre étaient orientés contre la réforme des retraites. Quelques personnalités métropolitaines nous ont rejoint : Carole Delga, présidente des Régions de France, Clémentine Autain, députée LFI, plus nos députés péi Jean-Hugues Ratenon et Younouss Omarjee, ainsi que la présidente de région Huguette Bello et le président du département Maurice Gironcel. Huguette Bello accapare les micros. Un défilé haut en couleurs, les syndicats défilant par petits paquets juxtaposés, la CGT l’emportant sur la palme du nombre et de l’animation. Beaucoup de syndicats présents : CFDT, FO, CGC, Union des Syndicats, SAIPER. Quelques partis politiques également présents mais assez discrets : LFI, PS Social Ecologie (ça a l’air d’être sa nouvelle appellation), pas de drapeau PCR ni EELV.
